Mr. President

Your desire has poisoned you mind,
You have mistakenly thought you were saving your people,
Your discontent is enslaving a generation of Americans,
Your pride has fouled your bed,
You have begun to believe your own lies,
You will never be satisfied, you will be filled with sorrow and discontent.

FOR THE LEADER WHO WOULD BE GOD

When the Tao is present in the universe,
The horses haul manure.
When the Tao is absent from the universe,
War horses are bred outside the city.

There is no greater sin than desire,
No greater curse than discontent,
No greater misfortune than wanting something for oneself.
Therefore he who knows that enough is enough will always have enough.
Tao Te Ching 46

THE BUDDA'S REMEMBERING

'In recollection all former births passed before His eyes. Born in such a place, of such a name, and downwards to His present birth, so through hundreds, thousands, myriads, all His births and deaths He knew.'
Ashvaghosha's Life of the Budda

Thanatology

"Strive after the Good before thou art in danger,
before pain masters thee
and thy mind loses its keenness"
Kularnava Tantra, I.27
